How to register
Anyone can take the DELF-DALF at the Alliance Française de Lagos, not only its students. Register online through the link on its DELF/DALF page, then wait for the confirmation e-mail, which comes during the week after your registration; questions go to the Lagos exam office (certification.lagos@afnigeria.org). The Alliance stresses that its registration process and deadlines are compulsory, and the exam regulations are sent when you register. In Port Harcourt, register with the Alliance Française de Port Harcourt (af-nigeria.org) before its deadline.

Adults, juniors and children
Adults sit the DELF-DALF tout public. In Lagos the DELF Junior is for secondary-school pupils aged 12 to 17 and the DELF Prim for primary pupils aged 7 to 11; the diplomas have the same value and are valid for life.
Results and diplomas
The Alliance Française de Lagos publishes the results as PDF lists on its DELF/DALF page (the September 2026 results were online on 26 October). It says you usually receive a certificate about a month after the exam and the diploma three months later; in Lagos the provisional certificate (attestation) is issued on request at the exam office of the Ikoyi centre, on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 am to 3 pm.
Preparing while you wait for the dates
The exam itself does not change from one country to another: in Nigeria as in France, the DELF A1 to B2 and the DALF C1 have four sections scored out of 25, you pass with 50/100, and a score below 5/25 in any one section fails you; the diploma is issued by the French Ministry of Education and is valid for life. France Éducation international publishes free official sample papers — DELF B2, DELF B1, DALF C1 — with the answer keys, the listening recordings and the marking grids. Our guides, in English: the DELF B2 practice test, with answers, the DELF B2, the DELF B1 and the DALF C1 and C2; for France’s own calendar and the other countries, DELF exam dates 2027.
Practise on the real format
You pay the full fee for each session, and you can’t retake the test right away. The mock exams in the “TCF DELF TEF: Tests 2026” app follow the official format of each test — TCF Canada, TEF Canada, DELF, DALF — scored like the real thing, with AI feedback on writing and speaking.
