The 2026 sessions, and 2027
Korea has a single national calendar: the same exam days in every centre, set by the national DELF-DALF centre. Within a session, B1 and B2 come first, on a Saturday and Sunday; A1, A2 and the DALF follow two weeks later. The 2027 calendar had not been published on 26 October 2026; the 2026 one shows the pattern to expect.
| Session | Registration | DELF B1 and B2 | DELF A1, A2 and DALF C1, C2 |
|---|---|---|---|
| March 2026 | 26 January – 11 February | 7–8 March | 21–22 March |
| May 2026 | 6–17 April | 16–17 May | 30–31 May |
| September 2026 | 27 July – 7 August | 5–6 September (A2, B1, B2) | — |
| November 2026 | 28 September – 14 October | 7–8 November | 21–22 November |
Not every centre opens every level: in November 2026 the DALF C1 is held in Seoul, Busan, Daejeon, Incheon and Daegu, the C2 in Seoul, Busan and Daejeon. The DELF junior uses the same days and windows (March, May and November 2026), and the DELF Prim had one session, on 4 July 2026 in Seoul and Busan.

How to register
Registration is online only, on the national centre’s platform: create an account on delf-dalf.co.kr (“S’inscrire”), choose the session, the level and the centre, and pay. The rules published for the November 2026 session:
- a level can close before the deadline once it is full;
- with fewer than five candidates for a level in a centre, that exam is cancelled and candidates may be moved to another centre;
- you can cancel in “Mon espace” within seven days after registration closes, minus administrative fees; if you might cancel one level, register for each level separately, because a multi-level registration cannot be partly cancelled;
- the notice to attend is printed from “Mon espace” on the Tuesday of the exam week.
The six exam centres
France Éducation international’s list of approved centres (26 October 2026) gives six centres. The French Embassy’s language centre manages the system, runs the exams in Seoul and coordinates the five Alliances françaises:
| City | Centre | Website |
|---|---|---|
| Seoul | Language centre of the French Embassy (Institut français de Corée du Sud), Sambong-ro, Jongno-gu | kr.ambafrance-culture.org |
| Busan | Alliance française de Busan | afbusan.co.kr |
| Daejeon | Alliance française de Daejeon | afdaejeon.co.kr |
| Daegu | Alliance française de Daegu | afdaegu.kr |
| Gwangju | Alliance française de Gwangju | afgwangju.co.kr |
| Incheon | Alliance française d’Incheon | afincheon.co.kr |
Adults, juniors and children
Adults take the DELF-DALF tout public, with no upper age limit. In Korea, every candidate of secondary-school age is counted as a junior and sits the DELF junior — same levels, same diploma, topics chosen for teenagers. Primary-school children sit the DELF Prim (A1.1, A1, A2).
Results and diplomas
Results and the provisional pass certificate (attestation de réussite) are announced in the news section of delf-dalf.co.kr; the diploma itself, printed in France, comes months later — on 16 October 2026 the centre announced the collection of the diplomas from the May 2026 session.
Preparing while you wait for the dates
The exam itself does not change from one country to another: in Korea as in France, the DELF A1 to B2 and the DALF C1 have four sections scored out of 25, you pass with 50/100, and a score below 5/25 in any one section fails you; the diploma is issued by the French Ministry of Education and is valid for life. France Éducation international publishes free official sample papers — DELF B2, DELF B1, DALF C1 — with the answer keys, the listening recordings and the marking grids. Our guides, in English: the DELF B2 practice test, with answers, the DELF B2, the DELF B1 and the DALF C1 and C2; for France’s own calendar and the other countries, DELF exam dates 2027.
Practise on the real format
You pay the full fee for each session, and you can’t retake the test right away. The mock exams in the “TCF DELF TEF: Tests 2026” app follow the official format of each test — TCF Canada, TEF Canada, DELF, DALF — scored like the real thing, with AI feedback on writing and speaking.
