Adults, juniors and children
Adults sit the DELF-DALF tout public; teenagers can sit the DELF junior and children the DELF Prim, which have the same value as the adult diplomas, with wording and topics adapted to their age. According to the Institut français, the DELF-DALF is recognised in Turkey by public administrations, some banks, Turkish Airlines and French-Turkish companies, and the DELF B2 exempts you from the language test at universities in French-speaking countries.
Results and diplomas
Results are published on the Institut français website 15 days after the end of the session (the June 2026 results are online as a PDF). The pass certificate is e-mailed 15 days after the results; the diploma is collected in person, with ID, from the exam office.
Preparing while you wait for the dates
The exam itself does not change from one country to another: in Turkey as in France, the DELF A1 to B2 and the DALF C1 have four sections scored out of 25, you pass with 50/100, and a score below 5/25 in any one section fails you; the diploma is issued by the French Ministry of Education and is valid for life. France Éducation international publishes free official sample papers — DELF B2, DELF B1, DALF C1 — with the answer keys, the listening recordings and the marking grids. Our guides, in English: the DELF B2 practice test, with answers, the DELF B2, the DELF B1 and the DALF C1 and C2; for France’s own calendar and the other countries, DELF exam dates 2027.
Practise on the real format
You pay the full fee for each session, and you can’t retake the test right away. The mock exams in the “TCF DELF TEF: Tests 2026” app follow the official format of each test — TCF Canada, TEF Canada, DELF, DALF — scored like the real thing, with AI feedback on writing and speaking.
