TCF Canada in Alberta: Calgary, Edmonton and Lethbridge — fees, dates and booking
In Alberta, three centres are approved for the TCF by France Éducation international, but only two run the TCF Canada: the Alliance Française de Calgary and the Alliance Française d'Edmonton, both at $400, on computer. On 26 October 2026, every session they listed was sold out — in Calgary, October to December, including all ten December test days; in Edmonton, the fifteen sessions shown, from 26 October to 13 November — and neither had published a 2027 date. The University of Lethbridge's French Language Centre offers only the DELF-DALF.
- 3 approved centres in Alberta (FEI list of 26 October 2026): Calgary, Edmonton, Lethbridge — the TCF Canada in Calgary and Edmonton only.
- $400 in both cities; in Calgary, «no refund or deferment is possible».
- ⚠️ 26 October 2026: Calgary sold out for October, November and its ten December dates; Edmonton sold out for every session shown, 26 October to 13 November; no 2027 date in either city.
- Edmonton sells each session during a window of about an hour on one day; Calgary's 14-seat sessions go «first-come, first-served».
- Lethbridge: DELF-DALF twice a year, no TCF on its pages.
- 20 days between two attempts in Calgary and Edmonton.

How to get a seat in Alberta
Neither Alliance takes bookings by phone. Calgary publishes its dates on its TCF registration page — «All 2026 exam dates will be published on this page» — and is «working with our partners in Paris to open additional sessions»: you pay online for a date, then receive a form to upload your ID. Edmonton lists each session with its own sales window, often about an hour on a single day, and on 18 October it warned that requests about TEF or TCF dates get no individual answer: watch the page and be online when the window opens. In both cities, allow 20 days between two attempts.
If you only need a seat, look further east: on 26 October 2026, the TCF Canada had open dates at $390 in New Brunswick — every weekend to 20 December at the CCNB in Edmundston and Bathurst, and ten dates from 1 December in Moncton — and in Ottawa ($400) on 10 November. Winnipeg ($400) and Vancouver ($390) were sold out for December. On the TEF side, the map of TEF centres of Le français des affaires (CCI Paris Île-de-France) showed no TEF Canada session published for Calgary or Edmonton on 26 October. Every province is on our list of centres in Canada.
The 3 approved TCF centres in Alberta
How to read this list. It reproduces the official list of test centres approved by France Éducation international (FEI), read on 26 October 2026: name, address, phone, generic email and website as FEI publishes them; where the listed website no longer works or has moved, we give the one we opened that day. “Computer-based”: FEI lists the centre as offering computer sessions; “paper-based”: FEI lists no computer sessions. The “TCF Canada” badges come from our check of each centre’s website on 26 October 2026. An organization that is not on this list is not approved.
