In Egypt, France Éducation international lists 3 approved TCF centres, all part of the Institut français d’Égypte: Cairo (Mounira and Heliopolis) and Alexandria. The Institut français d’Égypte publishes its sessions for all its centres on one page, with a link to its 2026 TCF calendar (“Dates et tarifs du TCF”, PDF). On 26 October 2026 the page still said that TCF Canada registration was closed and that the next session was in December; the calendar gives the date — Tuesday 8 December 2026, at the Mounira centre in Cairo — and the registration period, 2 to 12 November 2026. Despite its title, it gives no fee.
Which centre runs it? The Mounira centre in Cairo has published TCF Canada results for past sessions; the TCF Canada results sections of Alexandria and Heliopolis were empty on 13 October, so we have not confirmed that they hold the TCF Canada. You register with an online form for the version you want, then send a copy of your passport and pay; your exam invitation arrives by email. Results come “within about 4 weeks” of the test, and you must wait 30 days between two TCF attempts. The institute also offers the e-TEF Canada: its own 2026 calendar lists 10 February, 30 April and 22 October, yet on 26 October 2026 the TEF centre map of Le français des affaires (CCI Paris) still showed TEF Canada sessions for the Cairo institute — check the next date with the institute.
The fee in Egyptian pounds
The Institut français d’Égypte has not published its 2026 TCF fees: the 2026 calendar lists dates only, and no web page gives a price. The last fee list it published, in its 2024 TCF flyer, set the TCF Canada at the equivalent of €250 (the TCF tout public at €200, the TCF IRN at €175), paid in Egyptian pounds at the exchange rate of the month of payment, rounded up. So the amount in pounds is not fixed: it follows the euro rate of the month you pay, and the 2026 base may differ from 2024’s. Ask the institute for the exact amount when registration opens on 2 November, before you pay.
The 3 approved TCF centres in Egypt
How to read this list. It reproduces the official list of test centres approved by France Éducation international (FEI), read on 13 October 2026: name, address, phone, generic email and website as FEI publishes them; where the listed website no longer works or has moved, we give the one we opened that day. “Computer-based”: FEI lists the centre as offering computer sessions; “paper-based”: FEI lists no computer sessions. The “TCF Canada” badges come from our check of each centre’s website on 13 October 2026. An organisation that is not on this list is not approved.
