In 2026 it held two sessions of the DELF tout public and DALF, each with a registration window of about two weeks. The 2027 dates had not been published on 26 October 2026.

DELF Junior and DELF Prim
The IFE runs separate sessions for school pupils. In 2026 the DELF Junior was held on 7 March (A1), 14 March (A2), 28 March (B1) and 18 April (B2), with registration in December 2025 and January 2026, then on 15 August (A1), 20 August (A2), 22 August (B2) and 29 August (B1), with registration from 6 to 16 July. Schools register with a copy of each pupil’s birth certificate; individual candidates add a recent photo and a school certificate. The IFE’s page announced a DELF Prim session in September 2026.
Preparing while you wait for the dates
The exam itself does not change from one country to another: in Egypt as in France, the DELF A1 to B2 and the DALF C1 have four sections scored out of 25, you pass with 50/100, and a score below 5/25 in any one section fails you; the diploma is issued by the French Ministry of Education and is valid for life. France Éducation international publishes free official sample papers — DELF B2, DELF B1, DALF C1 — with the answer keys, the listening recordings and the marking grids. Our guides, in English: the DELF B2 practice test, with answers, the DELF B2, the DELF B1 and the DALF C1 and C2; for France’s own calendar and the other countries, DELF exam dates 2027.
Practise on the real format
You pay the full fee for each session, and you can’t retake the test right away. The mock exams in the “TCF DELF TEF: Tests 2026” app follow the official format of each test — TCF Canada, TEF Canada, DELF, DALF — scored like the real thing, with AI feedback on writing and speaking.
